Resident Care Technician (RCT)
The Resident Care Technician (RCT) provides hands-on assistance, supervision, and support to residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) in accordance with individualized care plans. The RCT ensures residents' safety, comfort, dignity, and independence while promoting a positive, home-like environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Resident Care
Assist residents with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and mobility.
Monitor residents' physical, emotional, and mental well-being; promptly report changes to the nurse or supervisor.
Provide medication reminders or assist with self-administration of medications (as allowed by facility policy and state law).
Measure and record vital signs, weight, and intake/output when indicated.
Respond promptly to call lights and resident requests.
Support residents with daily routines, exercise programs, and social activities.
Encourage independence and participation in activities that promote quality of life.
Must Pass Background Check
40- 80 Hours Training
